ocated right off the freeway in a decent sized space. A lot of parking.
Hot link – nice spice to the hot link and hot ratio of cheese, link and bread. Has meaty American cheese and link without any casing. Not super salty and is super tasty. 10/10
Ham and cheese – again, good ratio of the inside and not too salty. Uses American cheese. 10/10
Sausage and cheese – I’d pass on this. It’s pepper Jack cheese and doesn’t have a strong cheesy taste. The sausage is also not very flavorful. 2/10
Zombie popper – this had a lot going on. Cheddar cheese? Cream cheese, jalapeño and bacon. It was really good but need a little more bacon. Ours was a little weird because the cream cheese was only on one side. I almost thought it was missing and when i got too it, there was too much of it. I’d get again tho. 8/10
Apple pie – this was a lot better than i was expecting. Not super sweet, nice lil glaze on top and a good ratio of filling. It’s really messy and had to eat with a fork. 10/10
Everything was fresh and perfect size. Would definitely come back here.

I absolutely love their cheese zombies here, never having had tried them before. I love both the hot link and ham and cheese zombie. The cheese is perfectly melted and the bread is so soft and tastes fresh every time. I will make sure to go and try their newest location that opened in Martinez.

I’ve been craving a cheese zombie since I graduated from CVHS in ’93. I heard from a couple people about this spot and finally hit it up. It was everything I remembered and missed. Still warm and gooey cheese. They package each one in a aluminum pocket that keeps it warm and snuggly until it gets in my belly. I also tried the Apple zombie which was good but nothing like the classic plain cheese. Next time I’ll try the ham and cheese one. I have a feeling this going to be a new regular place for me. You’d never know this place was over here but it’s actually easily accessible right off of Hwy 4 Solano exit next to Kinders and an easy hop back onto the freeway. Staff and the owner all super cool. Plenty of seating to hang out and get some work done.

Zombies are super nostalgic to both my husband and I having grown up in the area where they were a stable brunch item at school. We stopped in on a weekend morning to grab some breakfast. They are hot and ready so you can swing by for a quick grab and go meal. I had the ham and cheese and hubs got the jalapeño popper and hot links. They come pre-made but if you call in advance they can make them more customized. We ordered and they instantly handed us warm buns filled with oozy cheese and fillings. They are a good portion and one easily filled me up. The dough is a little different from what we remembered at school but still very good. We’ll be back for another walk down memory lane!
